Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

There is plenty to see and do during your visit at Lone Pine. Be sure to attend some of the animal encounters and keeper presentations, so you can get up close and learn more about their animals!

KANGAROO FEEDING

In the 2 hectare (5 acre) Kangaroo reserve, over 130 kangaroos and wallabies hop about eagerly awaiting their daily hand-feeding by visitors. With 5 different species of kangaroos and wallabies, plus some emus, you can spend all day feeding these majestic creatures. Keep an eye out for joeys inside or out of the pouch! Food can be purchased from the general store located across from the koala cuddle area (only $2 per bag).

LORIKEET FEEDING

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is one of the very few places in Australia where you still get the opportunity to hand feed such a unique Australian parrot. The wild lorikeets lucky enough to live around Lone Pine get to enjoy a special lorikeet mix at feeding times. This complete nectar provides the birds with a healthy meal of oats, cereals, vitamins and minerals to supplement their natural diet.

These are just 2 of the exciting experiences at Lone Pine. There are plenty of other animals that you can get up close and personal with.

Open from 9:00am until 5:00pm every day of the year.
Anzac day (1:30pm - 5:00pm)
